Finally got my lens today. Here are a few pics showing it mounted on the camera. Will post some sample shots tomorrow hopefully. Off to bed now. It seems the lens is not too big. I suppose you'll keep the converter attached to the lens permanently. I'm interested in reading your impressions about using it I mean: does it open a lot of possibilities?
I'm not worrying about image quality. I'm pretty sure it will be excellent. Back again - very busy day and not much time to try out my new lens. Here are a couple of shots taken just now showing the difference between the P at maximum wide angle 28mm and another with the WC-E75A attached. Sorry for the very poor subject, composition etc, but I'm at my job site and under a tight deadline to finish up.
Hopefully will post some better shots at a later date. As you can see, the adapter greatly increases the wide angle possibilties. Sorry for the late answer.
I was in Istanbul, where I shot a lot of pictures with the P which I took there as my only camera. Sometimes, I would have liked to have a shorter focal length. That's where the WC E75A would have been handy.

Sadly, as you know; the G12 is a compact camera with a "fixed lens"; meaning, you cannot change the zoom lens that came with the camera. Canon do made a add on conversion lens for the G's but they are mainly the telephoto variety. If you want ultra wide angle add on, you will have to go to third party manufacture or Nikon! Of all the wide angle conversion lens ever made, Nikon's WC-E75 is, as far as I know; optically, the best!
